Advanced Polygraphy for the Senior Examiner

This course is specially designed for the examiner with at least one year of field experience. Open to both private and police examiners, students will elect one of two 8-hour educational tracks during the course based on their interests and assignment. Click the Learn More button for details. The content of this course is continuously updated to include state-of-the-art testing protocols and best business practices. Graduates will be certified as an Advanced (Private or Police) Polygraphist.

Advanced PCSOT Course

Open to both police and private examiners, this course is designed for polygraphists wishing to expand their knowledge base, refine their skill set, and enhance their expertise in the specialized field of Post-Conviction Sex Offender Testing (PCSOT). The course content focuses on specific polygraph testing formats, latest research and best practices, psychopathology of sexual deviants, working with treatment providers and probation agents, and other issues regarding the testing and interviewing of sexual offenders. Graduates will be certified as an Advanced PCSOT Polygraphist.

Polygraph for Internal Affairs Certification

Designed for experienced examiners who are called upon to conduct tests related to Internal Affairs investigations. Topics include advanced testing and interviewing techniques (Inductive Interview System), psychopathology of renegade officers, and numerous case studies from the field. Graduates will be certified as a Police Internal Affairs Polygraphist.

Tactical Polygraph for ICAC Investigations

Designed for law enforcement examiners who are called upon to conduct tests related to Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) or other deviant sexual offense investigations. Topics include advanced testing protocols, interviewing techniques (Inductive Interview System), problems and challenges associated with Tactical Polygraph, psychopathology of sex offenders, model policies and best practices, and numerous case studies from the field. Graduates will be certified as a Tactical Polygraphist for ICAC Investigations.

In our profession, "every contact is an interview," so this course is perfect for all officers, regardless of assignment, as well as attorneys and mental health providers. Topics include the "hexaphasic," non-linear Inductive Interview System, Why People Lie, Indicators of Guilt, the Ten Types of Lies and How to Spot Them, Specialized Induction Techniques, and numerous case studies from actual interviews.

PCSOT Certification

Designed for examiners wishing to enter the specialized field of Post-Conviction Sex Offender Testing, this one-week course covers best practices for PCSOT testing and psycho-pathology of sex offenders. Graduates are eligible to sit for the American Polygraph Association PCSOT certification exam.

Police Polygraph Certification
400 hours

Designed for those with no prior experience with polygraph, this 10-week comprehensive certification course is recognized by the American Association of Police Polygraphists. This is a dual certification course. Graduates will be designated as a Certified Police Polygraphist and a Certified Inductive Interviewer.
